My sprocket setup is just another but i think i've seriously lost top end. But now all the work has been done on the sm i can start with getting tuned. 32mm delorto carb. And get that cylinder sent away for a tune up.

iirc norfey has a link to a custom sprocket site??

 The Rear brake carrier was machined down by a few mill to bring the wheel in line with the front. Then spacers made up accordingly.

 

And don't have a choice mate. Biggest size sprocket for the rear is 46. Anything bigger on the fron causes serious strain on the motor. It won't pull in 6th with anything bigger than what is on at the moment.

 

Get more power out of the engine is my only way forward at the mo. Once it's pushing more BHP I can adjust the sprocket setup to compensate.

it cant pull 6th if you mantein the 46t on the back!!!!

 The amount of teeth on the sprocket has nothing to do with the gear ratio as enny said. Its the fact that bigger and smaller sprockets affect the ratio and larger sprockets just so happen to need more teeth. That said 46 teeth on an aprilia rs125 is not the same size sprocket as 46 teeth on a yamaha dt125. Different size wheels will mean completely different size sprockets. 

 

 

Do you really think i got this far into my project to get stumped by gear ratios. 

you didnt said that you where using 520pitch... i understand now... but i didnt understood why you changed to 520... both of you

The aprilia wheels are 520 pitch anyway. And i want to look cool.

i really dont think that dts overthere are different then here.... my bike has 420 pitch out of the factory. i do wheelies aswell but maybe you have the gear relation short... whats your transmission?

 

i have the same chain and sproket for like 2 years lol, riding almost every day...

i had 3 sets of 420's in about a year they just streched to the point of no return

and had the same 520 on for a year and a half its just geting to the point wear i need to change it

Got renthal 520 and it seems pretty spot on.

NORFE reckons they stretch like a rubber band though. I beg to differ but my bike has bugger all power.

i could not do that on my ts50 or it would flip so that's nothing for a drz

Fck. My dt must be massively under powered. I don't think i could flip it. Far too heavy!

I'm finding it a bit annoying at the mo. I was riding with my brother today and nobody challenged me to a race. Instead only my brother. So frustrating. To be fair i would have lost miserably since he only just made it and his is much faster than my dt. But stillfrustrating
