Can't find any. If you get the spring like it is in the pic. The other end of the spring clips round the claw. You should be able to work it out so it is under tesion, so it will return when the clutch lever is let go.
yeh i figured out where it goes but im struggling to get it back on lol

just checked on my spare engine and its fairly easy to do by hand, take the clutch push road arm out and put the spring on that first then put it back in the hole, then just push the other part of the spring around and down abit until it goes on
thank you ill have a try tomorrow and if the gasket sealer works ill be over the moon

yeah, if its the head is warped or whatever when engine reaches operating temperature and everything expands it will probably start blowing/leaking again, is it a genuine yamaha gasket or a pattern one?
Literally an hours job to skim that head. And that's if you don't know what you're doing. Once it's all apart it shouldn't take you longer than 5 minutes. But the whole job I.e. taking it all apart. An hour.
its a pattern one my cuzion got it me to try out again o.o but yeh the mechanic said put some gasket sealer on it to help it bond

yeah its easy to skim it callum but from the way the air was escaping in his video it must be seriously warped or something else is wrong, can you imagine some gasket sealer trying to hold in the pressure of combustion at 10k rpm, wouldnt last 5 minutes haha
danny youve gone and bodged it why? after all that everyone said to you im talking from experience its just gunna go bang again this has been a waste of time if thats what your gunna do most shops will skim for 25-35 seems pointless not to
yeh ino well shortage of money tbh being a student is a hard life lol

We've already explained how to skim the head. Won't cost you more than a fiver to do it yourself.
I really don't understand what the problem is. It will cost you more in the long run. You say you're skint but you're more than willing to throw good money away at bodges.
yeh well i did "skim it" and took all the crap of the head and it was shiny when i put the new gasket on

You have got to keep trying mate, If you just got a bit of glass and some WD40 you would be able to tell if the head is warped, cause if you spray it on the glass and put the head on it then lift the head it should leave a perfect outline on the glass.
This was me skimming my head.
As cal says a fiver. If you get your heads clean like that and a new gasket they shouldnt leak.
800 grit pape WD40 and some decent glass, that's the only hard bit getting the glass.
I was trying to tape it down but my tape wasn't sticking cause of all the WD40 so I bashed on. Would make the job a lot better taped down cause I was doing this one handed holding the paper.
lol im waiting on a lift to the place where i can get it skimmed and i went to my yammy dealer and he said a tenner for the bottom gasket so im getting that and ive got a yammy gasket in the post for the top
