Hi, just bought a 1991 yz125 frame and engine, supposedly ran before the guy stripped it but naturally I'd like to find out for myself. The powervalve needs replacing and is currently not fitted. would it be okay to fire the engine for a minute just so I can hear it run without putting the powervalve back in?

should be fine if you fit the pv and just lock it fully open shouldn't it? for testing

Should be fine to run it without the power valve.

Cheers guys, I would have thought that pinning it open would flood it? I'll give it a go sooty no power valve, just wanna hear how it runs
