Its the RIGHT side has a spring on both sides 2 lips

as above ive got both seals but i cant make out which is the right and which is the left

I think there is a post somewhere explaining that the left one has a double lip. Summit like that. Have a look through norfes engine rebuild thread.

figured it out in the end ,but im really worried about the engine as its so hard to turn over ,and its not got the head on its had all seals and bearings replaced

You should have paid about £50 for the bearings. Common mistake mate

these are definetely the right bearings if anyones been ordering any other code than whan 6305r1 theyve been buying wrong

If your crank is stiff. You have probaly over/unevenly tightened the case bolts that hold the case together. First of all get a rubber mallet and give the end of the crank on the clutch side a good few dunts to seat it in the bearing, if that doesnt work undo the crank bolts and re do them evenly at the right tourque.

twin lipped/twin sprung is the right side seal....all in the manual images
