Also, the guy in the Kawasaki shop said to me "Oh, there's no point in running the bike in on mineral oil! Just use fully synthetic, it'll be fine, unless you did a bottom end rebuild" I explained to my dad, that they're a shop, they'll tell you that and you blow up your bike, then you need a new bike, they're the people to sell you a shitty chink one. But no, my dads right, I'm wrong.
So when this piston goes, I'll be barking up his tree for money for the rebuild along with "I told you so".
Also the YEIS is a little black box on my model? If so, I may, may have it in the shed. I'll look better tomorrow.
You want the one for the DTR. Its not as pretty as that one but its important you get the right one.
Run the engine on mineral oil to begin with. You're not going to be thrashing the bike anyway so it won't matter about fully synthetics yet anyway. Once the engine is ran in switch to fully synthetic. It is very logical why you use mineral oils to begin with. It is all here on the forum if you want to learn a thing or two. It is all here.
If you have a full dep you should of done rejetting to suit as soon as put new zaust on mine takes a 240. Best bet take the carb off check the number and see what you have in there

If jetting is incorrect it will cause loads of running issues weither it be too rich or to lean. If it is running too lean and not cured it will cause engine seizure Running lean makes the engine run hot. This tends to lead to 'pinging'/'knocking', or preignition. This causes greatly increased cylinder pressures and heat, and can hammer bearings, crack piston rings the list goes on...so its vital to have the correct jetting

i blew my dt up ... but i fixed it.... Then i crashed it.... but i didnt fix it right and 2 scouser's come in the middle of the night and left me with a working bike
remember no matter how tempted you get dont go rapeing the engine you will regret it later if you do . run it in great and once done she should last you a good while
Guys does your engine in wet weather seem to not perform aswell ?

The YEIS was covered with electrical tape, whether the tape held in for the 40 odd miles or not I don't know. I'll look again tomorrow.
Bike seems very sluggish, just like before. No knocking etc, but extremely under powered struggling up hills etc.
I look at the old piston upon close inspection in the sun, it had "100" stamped on the top.
Been shifting gear every 5,000 RPMs. It keeps bogging down in 6th, at 30MPH. I get it to about 4,000 RPMs full rev it, then it bogs down and stalls unless I pull the clutch in and down shift, but even then I'm down to 20MPH. :|
Try a new spark plug you could just be getting a week spark

and be 100 % sure that yeis hole is sealed up correct with no leaks use a cork and tape it up well so it is air tight ..thats asumeing you have not got the yeis bottle yet ? if its sucking in air there that will also cause same type of issues
I had tissue and tape, but the tissue got pulled out due to having some carb problems (it was pissing petrol out every where) and then put a bit of tape over it.

Guy on the phone at the shop said the standard jet is 210 for the DT125R 1997. And that's the only one they can order.
Awaiting the bottle now. Should be between 4-7 days.
Ordered some carb gaskets too. As it's showing signs of needing a clean, it pissed out 5 litres of petrol through the overflow and other pipes. Not leaking now, but still going to clean it. And see what jet size I have.
