if exactly same problem, and you had a full rebuild. (assuming they company assembled the head, barrel etc etc and torqued up themeselves???) then gotta be carb related? nothing else for it?

so just to clarify...they rebuilt motor,, you have not touched in anyway now? all you have done is installed into frame and connected up wires, carb etc

Were the crank seals changed? Checked the slide's not sticking? Most probably an air leak tbh. I'd come and give you a hand just haven't got the time anymore...

Here is a list of ALL the posibilities it can be

Weak spark at pluggg or erratic firing:

Battery voltage low. In certain low battery charge, especially when couples with badly sulphated battery, may result in misfiting. If the battery is in good general condition it should be recharged. An old nattery suffering fr sulphated plates should be renewed.

Spark plug fouled, faulty or incorrectly adjusted.

Spark plug cap or high tension lead shorting. Check condition of both these items ensuring that they are in good condition and dry and that the cap os fitted correctly.

Spark plug type incorrect. Fit the correct type and heat range. Im certain conditions a plug of hotter or colder type may be required for normal running.

Ignition timing incorrect.

Faulty ignition HT coil. Partial failure of the coil internal insulatiom will diminish the performance of the coil. No repair is possible. Renewal is necessary.

Defective flywheel generator ignition source.

Fuel/air mixture incorrect:

Intake air leak. Check carburetta amd air cleaner hoses for security and signs of splitting.

Mixture strength incorrect. Adjust slow running mixture strength using pilot adjustment screw.

Pilot jet or slow running circuit blocked. The carburettor should br removed and dismantled for thorough cleaning. Blow through all jets and air passages with compressed air to clear obstructions.

Air cleaner clogged or omitted. Clean or fit air cleaner element as necessary.

Cold start mechanism engaged. Check that the choke has not been left on inadvertently.

Fuelt level too high or too low. Check float height. Renewing float or needle if required.

Fuel tank air vent obstructed. Obstructions usually caused by dirt or water. Clean vent orifice

Compression low.

Those above are the only possibilities for incorrect idling

So it HAS to be one of those mate. Hope this helps.

didnt we used to have a problem spotting section...? perhaps one of those that you cant post in, its just listed once people have solved problems...then people can reference there before asking!

Like said. I'm talking to Seiki about it.

Basically there is like seven pages in the Haynes manual that is called Fault Diagnostics.

It lists all the possibilities caused by machine faults that can occur. By that i mean it doesn't list user errors like this one. Throttle open.

I was going to type it all up and post them into one section. Close the section down and then people can refer to it from here.
