Hmmm that sound's dangerous Calum, maybe your suspension need's adjusting.

It never will be a 33bhp bike but I'm sure it will dust a standard DT and it sure is one of a kind anyway.

Plus it always feels good to ride something you built

Hhmm yeah but some people don't want to believe.

I think it's because there is not enough weight over the front wheel. It wants to lift on the power. Even if the wheel is not in the air it's still lifting and therefore losing slight traction.

MORE MCDONALDS!

LMFAO NATH!

And that's not true Cal! There's always something you can do to make her faster! Stage 3 tune, (FIT YA FOOKIN PORTO PIPE!), get the gearing sorted out!, also you tried her without the boost bottle? Try that, take off the booster plug the hole and go for a blast and tell me what you think xxx

More McDonalds xD stiffer supspension will help with that try adjusting the rear up see how it is, then try the front.

Or maybe it will be better when you have sorted the gearing, but a stiffer rear will help keep the wheel down

The suspensions stiff as it is mate. Remember it does have USD's, the rear has already been jacked up.

I found a guy who makes custom rear shocks.

The porto pipe. Hhmm I'm building another engine that will have another tzr gearbox in it. Nikasil ported barrel. Wossner piston and rods. She's going to be a beast!

My mate was behind me in his civic turbo in that video. And even he said the dt was quick.

I'm pleased with it. It's a heck of a lot faster than it was. Its just not as fast as the rs and I've spent a heck of a lot more than what the rs is worth.

Just need to weld this on now. Need to make up a little a bracket to mount the can to. Should be done this month.

Oil Pump Has Failed :(

Either I buy a new oil pump or I do what I really hate, pre mix.

I'm leaning on premix.

I'm going to put some quick release m6 bolts that hold the seat on. Make a storage unit under the seat that will hold vials of two stroke :) So I don't have to carry a bag everywhere.

The oil pump on this engine was on its way out anyway, it just injects a fck ton of oil regardless of how the pump is setup. Really embarrassing, but surprisingly hasn't fouled the plugs.

Oh dear Cal, I hate to say I told you so! F00k oil pumps, pre mix for life mate.

Well it hasn't caused any damage mate. It's just failed and I knew one day it would. I don't actually think it ever worked. This is my 4dl engine not my normal engine. Premix is gash but I see no alternative.

Get a 250ML nail varnish bottle, mark out 125ML and then make a strap or something for your bike to hold the bottle. If you don't like carrying a bag.

Can only fill up 5 litres a time, if you fill up just before you hit reserve, you can brim it. I'd keep the 2T bottle filled up all the time if you aren't carrying any 2 stroke out with you.

Has the pump done your engine in?

Also people said I'd have loads of problems with premixing etc. Been doing it daily for a year now. Not a single problem. On the same spark plug as well and it isn't even an iridium one. Just had to clean the carb when I left the bike sitting for a couple of months. Really nothing complicated.

Just involves shaking the bike at the petrol pumps. I've only ever been asked twice about it, to which I explained and they were like "Ohh... *confused look*" I guess none bikers that have never had a 2 stroke would never understand we put oil in the petrol, lol.

Also you'll need a blanking plate for where the oil pump was and put a screw in the pipe near the reed block, or you'll have an airleak. I guess you already know this though.

No the pump hasn't damaged the engine thank god.

Yeah I'm going to feed the oil pipe to the carb. And remove the pump.

The pipe is very nice. I have still not used it yet. Owes me 250 quid and never used lmao! But thanks

And thanks. I'm happy with how the dual rads work. Keeps very cool now.

I'm not spending anything on it till nex year probably. My starlets needs some loving and then the dt can come off the roaf for a proper respray.

If you're having it sand blasted, I'd start buying bearings for the swing arm etc. And if you haven't already put stainless steel bolts everywhere when putting it back together. :)

Could be a while now. The bike broke on the way home today. Sprocket bearing collapsed ruining the sprocket carrier and the spacers I had made up. Will have to strip it all back and have some more made up. But I'm thinking maybe taking it off the road for a good while now to be honest. Get it all stripped back to basics and respray. But I want to finish the car first. I'm going to do this in the evenings and do the car on the weekend.

C22065B2-80B1-4330-928B-109F35661171_zpsnhbbjbgw.jpgWell she's all packed away into two boxes :(

I can't get it to the coaters until I sort my car out. So don't know how long it will stay like this for.

The 4DL engine is now officially for sale. So if any of you guys want a solid built low mileage 4DL bottom end let me know. Sorry but keeping the ported top end.

We just got hit by spammers and it killed the site. So no not really. People these days use the Facebook forums. To be honest, that can be a good thing. It tends to be, in the kindest way, chavies. The forums tend to be for Die Hard enthusiasts that have something to contribute.

Nah mate, won't beat the 200. Not by a long shot. I've had a look at other ventures, but now It's all about tuning the Starlet. Get this DT to show condition. I made good power on the 4DL. Good power, not exceptional. But it kept that reliability, for a 125. It never failed to start that motor. I'm going to get this looks fresh and then work on getting the car running sweet.

How did you Mini go in the end? You never did update me.

Mini runs sweet, new wössner forged pistons, forged conrods, de-coke on the head, remapped, induction kit

I just bought some rainsport 3 tyres.  amazing!!  must have in England
