maybe not the way I would have gone but it may look ok  . but even with a diy spray job cutting corners  and spraying around things or over them realy will affect the end result .

you removed the yolks at all to even check and fresh grease the bearings .

wilst you have it stripped down you should have taken the time to totaly strip it even if some bolts was seized spraying over them is not going to help and just make things worse later on what if you get a real dick mot guy now after all your work say FAIL needs those bearings changing ?

i will be looking at them before i start putting stuff back together, i didnt want to do a diy job its just i cannot find a powdercoaters nearby and money is short and i havnt even gone to the engine yet, as for a mot guys im not worried as i know them well as i worked for them couple of times, i did cut some corners im afraid i just like to see some progress soon and i need the bike on the road in couple of weeks, it might not be one of the greatest projects ever but should be better than what it was when it has first arrived :), its not finished yet so lets wait and see how it is going to look once its done,

ok so here is a rough idea what it is meant to be and yep you was right these yokes wnt look too good, they will have to go black, and all the other bits that were on the frame have to come off now and get blacked out aswell, cutting corners always makes the job twice as dificult at the end :) lesson learned :P3063_Yamaha DT 125 X 04-06 Full MTH 1.jpg

yeah dont get me wrong I am a Massive diy person and would not think of paying anyone for something I can do my self .

as seen here all diy on small budget for fast profit and sale 8 days in and out http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3NNvSUR07KQ

but know trying to spray over stuff is not good and you will look at the end job and always look back and wish you had just done that bit better .

and what do you think with the wheels, im going ot strip them down and repaint them propely but now the question is how to go about it, the spokes need some paint, the hums look fine but a paint wdnt kill them, and the rims, so im thinking to do half black half orange rims, as for the hubs im still deciding if to go orange or black, and than the spokes orange or black. or split paint the spokes aswell, where black rim there orange spoke and vice versa, or do 1 spoke black 1 orange going around, or orange hubs black spokes, and where there is black on the rim niples in orange and oposite on the other side,

20130902_184550.jpgi just love the half and half :) the other way would be just mask the rim out and paint spokes and hubs orange but not sure how would that come out, i guess i will have to strip them down, will have to take them to my garage and ask my mechanic mate if he could do the truing for me :). the reason im cutting some corners is that im only going to be keeping the bike untill i got 1yr ncb and geting a wr or something like that :)
but the bike might even look nice just with an orange stripe going around the wheels :P7
headlight arived today not sure how its going to look but will have to wait and see and decide if to go for it or keep the standard on

Omg that headlight looks sick, just like a KTM one, defo been styled from one for sure. I'd love one on my bike, what bulbs do they take and what's the wattage?

Can't wait to see it on the bike!

Got a link for the headlight buddy?

had to strip and paint the frame once again as there was something wrong with my compressor and the thick paint dried before it hit the frame and started to come off, so i got soome ford electric orange paint and started painting again, need to touch up in few parts but its looking good for now, got hpires for the back, i will need to modify it and post a guide for that aswell as i have seen alot of people wanting to put that on the newer dts but said it wnt fit hehe. i need to get this bike sorted asap
