Had my first accident on friday night

Absolutely heartbroken to say the least!!!!! blankstare

Was driving home from my mates gaff at about 11.30 on Friday night,  some learner driver ditzy teen biatch was on front of me coming up a large hill, as we came around a slight bend in the road could see sirens up the top of the hill (check-point), and the stupid fker slammed on hard and tried to turn off a side street indicating half way through the mongolised manoeuvre, on the opposite side of the road.... she then decided against it and swung straight back into my lane on top of me, knocking me off the bike.  I was up in seconds screaming in her passenger window and she hopped out crying saying "Sorry, sorry.... please don't call the police!"  and all this sh1te!  Naturally alarm bells start ringing when she was pleading with me not to call the police, she even said if I call the police she'll never be able to drive again.  Turns out I didn't have to call them as the checkpoint up the top of the road must have seen a bike down and radio'd in for a car.

I looked around the bike while in shock, shaking and in a blind rage (strangest sensation ever having an accident hmm)  right panel where I hit her car was cracked in two places and had big black marks going the whole way back, both mirrors broken and then the other side of the bike had a broken foot peg, scratched fairings and my new R&G bar end turned to mush! cry  Police arrived and done there usual... directing traffic around the accident spot and taking statements from witnesses and myself and the idiota.  The police let her go within 5mins, and then came over to me having the cheek to say that it was my fault because I was the vehicle behind.  I honestly can't see the logic in that as I was to her side when she decided to swing back into my lane, which I had already told the police in my statement and I know for a fact that one of the witnesses backed up my story totally.  The other two witnesses were away from me so I couldn't hear what they said,  but if they told the truth then it should have been in my favour.  I couldn't drive the bike home as the mirror had bent back into the brake lever so any time I turned the steering left it would engage the brake.  Luckily for me was only around the corner from my mates so called him and he came up and helped me push it to his for the night.

I still don't know why the girl was begging me not to call the police, as the police said to me her license and tax were present,  but both of us have to go to our nearest police station tomorrow (Monday) to hand in our insurance certificate,  so now I'm thinking she doesn't have insurance. hmm  And IF she does have insurance,  I assume the police told her that it was my fault, seeing as they told me that it was my fault,  so she'll probably try and claim off me for a new bumper or something (even though there was only a scratch on it).

What do you guys think??  Haven't a clue what to do as this has never happened to me before! cry

**** luck mate. At least you didn't end up under her car, to many people like her on the road. Did you not demand a breathalyser on her, that's maybe why she was scared ect.

But yeah probably no insurance cause it doesn't even occur to some of these stupid young idiots you even have to be insured.

Hmm trying to rapidly evade a police check point, so rapidly that she forgot to fúcking check for road users around her?!

Nothing suspicious there at all eh? There's 100% something fishy going on right there and it's not her lower regions, more of an Anchovy smell.

I'd mention all of this to the police tomorrow in full detail. Explain to them your POV and how it's in no way your fault, as it was due to her brain dead negligence, as she knocked you off your bike.

You've got a witness and the damage to back it all up aswell.

The police are useless but it's worth a shot, i'd be fuming tbh. The moron said it was your fault? Wow, and people wonder why pigs get so much hate.

Yeah it is very fishy!  I mean I know the rules of the road states that if someone on front slams on the brakes and you plough into the back of them it's your fault as you should react in time..... but the fact that she moved out and then back in on-top of me is a total different situation!  I have the marks to prove that she hit me side on! No damage done to the front of the bike!  My leg also has a sizable bruise which is further proof that I was hit from the side!  Saying all this to the piggys tomorrow!  My mates Dad knows a bike claims only solicitor that's no win no fee,  so might get in touch with him to see what he thinks about the situation!  I will get pics up of the damage as soon as I can!
