factory settings

factory is 1 1/4 turns out
15.5-16.5mm float height
1300-1400 idle speed
throttle needle 4th clip frop top (not tip)
240 main jet

and get an iridium spark plug if you dont have it's a must imho

hi were can i get the factory carb settings to set my carb up as its all on unknown at the minute float height and mixture screw are defo out the bike runs ok on choke doesent idle off choke and doesnt like wide open throttle  running rich and possibley too oily as well

According to Haynes 210 is standard main jet.

Yeah i think yours should be a tm28ss unless its been changed. Cal has your haynes only got one model carb specs? Theres a couple in mine the old 26 mm carbs ,tm28ss,tm28 92/1

right had a look the model of carb is 3rm 02 w25 there seems to be one number after the 5 but can not make it out either a 1 or 7

They ran tm28ss ( the flat side version) from circa 1990 onwards. The main jet was originally a 210 until 1997/8 when a fair few changes were made to the bike. At this point the main jet was a 240 from standard. The exhaust also changed this year to one with a washer welded in the expansion (restrction) as opposed to the tube welded in the exhaust where it met the cylinder. The jet change was probably becuase the exhaust changed its shape slightly as you would find if you tried to fit a pre 97 exhuast one a 97/98 onward bike or vice versa. I beleive the earlier ones are marked 3RM and later 3MB.

As good as stock settings are I would advise you continue to check your jetting once you have the settings right and the correct main jet in.
