Aye scrin the YZ doesn't get used much because he has to take to front wheel off tonget it into the van. Plus it's having the time to go. He's still keeping crosser wheels for it no problems. Just swap the wheels over. But this way it might actually get used.

Yeah but why do I get the feeling you have a biased opinion lol.

Personally I prefer the spoked supermoto wheels. I just wanted something unique. But clearly not unique enough :(

Well three months later, the wheels have been built. £75 a wheel. Stainless steel spokes and a new Maxxis tyre just fits between the swing arm.

Had a little go today and it is very good. Little problem with the sprockets as it does about 30 mph. Get's there like a bullet out a gun mind you. Very nice to ride. Proper supermoto.

I have some spares that are not going to use. I will make a new thread with these items. Forgot to take photos.

Any kinda wish I didn't go on it, makes my bike feel like a 400cc 50cc bike :( Heavy and slow. Ah well. It's nice to experience different things. I couldn't ride this bike everyday like the DT it's far too explosive. Very fun. My brother is over the moon.

Just needs Insuring, MOT then registering. Not long now :D

I don't see how it's ruined it. All it needs is to put the MX wheels back on and it's good to go. But that's just it. With everything that's going on he just doesn't have time to go to the track. At least this way a perfectly good mx bike won't be going to waste.

Only just got the wheels back saturday. And he goes on Holiday Monday. So when he gets back it just wants the vapor installing and then its off to the mot station.

Will have to whip a video up of your DT and his YZ going together. :) YZ would probably have the DT all day long until top speed kicks in.

Not if he puts some road worthy sprockets on his yz, not mx ratios, dt wouldn't stand a chance then

Doesn't want to lose too much bottom end. The whole fun is in that PUNCH of power. So will only take it up so each gear isn't a second long lmao.

If the YZ could be on par in terms of DTR maintenance schedule's I'd have one in a heart beat, mind you I imagine everyone else on this forum would as well.

If it's a once in a while fun bike then no harm, but a daily hack it'd be topend after topend. £200 a pop if you get it re-plated as well.

Is a stunning bike even with the supermoto wheels. I'd be tempted to look up some local green lanes and go down them with the off-road setup.

It's only £200 if you seize it mate. If you keep on top of it it will just be piston smd rings if not just rings.

Buy a proper trail tech mount they protect them properly, taken all that time and skimped on the mount..........

I'm not sure it is scrimping. It'll hold my bro is pro with things like this. Plus trial tech are well expensive.

£80 for a side stand from them and it didn't fit. Bit of a cheek really.

Went in for its mot saturday.

The genny isn't putting out enough power to power the horn. The tester said put sone insulation tape over the lights and switches and he will pass it.

It works fine when reving high but at idle tgere just isn't enough power.
