There wont be enough power from the generator at idle Cal, you need to wire in a small 12v battery in via the regulator or get a sympathetic mot tester, the bracket may hold but offers no protection to the fragile trail tech cause its scrimping. The proper bracket is expensive but does the job properly, mind you my bikes take proper crashes off road, ive broken 2 in falls off road with home made brackets.

The last bodge on my old 07 RM lasted a couple of months

The YZ replaced this, what a heavy slow pile of slow iron lung crap. One of the worst bikes I have ever owned.

Lmao.

The stand is good. It was just expensive and had to be shipped over from America.

I'm not sure how much offroading he is likely to do to be fair. The bracket on my DT for the Vapor was handmade and that's holding strong.

That YZ is unreal to be fair lol. It's a right ol monster on the road. It's hard to judge it's actual power off road because you're losing so much power through the wheels. Even when it's on road you've got knobbleys so you're still losing traction. But with SM'd it's just breath takingly fast.

Yz's are seriously quick off road, I much prefer the yz for a 2 stroke on the track and I've rode pretty much all the makes, as for a four stroke tho I'd go for honda

Hi all. Just curious to know whats the score with the gear box on a YZ? Its gonna be awful on the road aint it? Really short ratio gears for off road riding! :S

My K7 RM125 was fine with just 1 tooth up on the front sprocket. Did about 75 flat out but got there in about 2 seconds.......... Exaggerating a bit bit you know what I mean.

A little update, after hours and hours on the phone. Countless emails and messages, HM Revenue & Customs are finally satisfied that VAT was paid on the bike when it was imported. A well received relief and it means only a few more steps till it is on the road!

Did Yamaha UK want 40 quid to send you a letter explaining they pay the vat when they bring them in ?

Remembering of course this isn't my bike nor my build. As said a few times this is my brothers bike.

Danny the best person to ask is Scrim! But I know my brother found a thread on the Internet and he just followed that.

I can find out more details should you want it.

Update: V5 has been sent off For! Not long now :)
