Thanks Cal, Does seem a shame to do all this work and get rid of it at it's best but like you said it's a genuine good con bike now.

Got a new race from a local engineering firm that seem to stock/order lot's of motorbike part's.

Top chap opened up a set and sold me the race on it's own, also sells mitaka pistons n conrod's.

Race came out very easy once smoking, then it was a race against the clock to get the bike back together and down the garage lol

MOT passed

Bare in mind yours is a later X model, 2strokemx. They hold more value than the older DTR's.

About £1,500 I reckon.

Could do with the chain tensioning Vic, I got 1500 for my sons Black W reg one on ebay in less than 24hrs from the first person to see it. It was clean as a very clean thing and totally standard save for the exhaust.

The chain has seen better days. Could probably do with new chain and sprockets. If you sell up whip the R set up on. :)

The chain and sprocket's are fine, just need's a rider who doesn't wheelie so much and could use some oil.

I'm constantly adjusting this piece of cheese. I think I'm going to put the chain guard on.

Not going to go back to DTR set up, pretty sure SM set up will sell for more.

On a side note, hit some byways yesterday on my black DTR and the clutch casing gasket failed and dropped half of the oil by time I was home.

I don't see why not? Seems a nice solid price for a looked after supermoto DTR tbh...

They are worth whatever the buyer is willing to pay, 1650 is a fair price for a decent bike.

£1,650 is a good price.

And it hasn't been looked after. Had a hard life with Toy, not that it shows it now though.

It has been looked after very well by somebody who knows what they are doing aka me.

Toy was a bit of a noob and did neglect the shizz out of it and run it into the ground, but it has a new lease of life now.

Over £600 of parts went into this bike and many hours.

p.s I still have my black DT for Sundays so not left the DT club yet.

Well, you're making about £50 profit? So I'd just let it go for that. Can't remember how much you paid for it off of Toy around the £900-£950 mark IIRC?

Also Toy didn't really rag it that much. He maintained the engine, the frame etc not so much, but it's the engine that's important IMHO.

Just sold it blankstare . Paid 950 plus fuel to go get it probably 1k total. I bought the bike for my summer commuter though not for profit.

I know it's still summer but I have my car test soon and I'm currently shopping for a van and mx/enduro bike.

Cheers I really enjoyed the project and riding the bike over the last few months.

Feels really good when people comment on how nice your bike look's and you know it's all your hard work.

I got about 1.5k miles on it and had a lot of fun wink

Really wish Toy would of got a chance to see his turd polished up though.

p.s The new owner had his husky go bang, so he came over to team Yamaha winning!!!
