So not a DT but has been a nice little break from the DT. This is my first PC gaming rig. I know there are a few gamers out there. So I thought I'd share my little project.
So first things first. I bought Republic of Gaming Motherboard, 4th generation 4770k i7 Processor, 16GB Corsair Vengence RAM and a h110 280mm radiator water cooling system.
Corsair Vengeance K70 Fully mechanical keyboard
A very funky mouse. It's a Corsair Vengence Something. K80 I believe. But you can adjust the sensitivty on the fly. The maximum setting is ridiculous. The smallest setting is really useful when you're doing photo shop. The mouse clicks are very light and the other buttons are stiffer.
There is also a slow down button on the side. This slows the speed right down for when you're sniping, or in my case, editing images,
Overall I'm chuffed with it. Even got this mouse mat made for like a 5er off eBay :D
Republic of Gaming CPU Monitor and a Pioneer Blu Ray Drive. (Very Very Swish), Never used lmao!
Over Clocks the CPU to a steady 4.4Ghz (Customisable). Easily since the CPU is liquid cooled.
And I'm using this 27" monitor:
Altogether it's a lovely machine. Lots of overclocking features and it's chewed up everything I've thrown at it.
Really good fun to research and build it. Always wanted a gaming rig. Now this is done I'm going to move on to my next project. A little bigger than my last projects but should be just as fun :)

PC gaming has better graphics and that, but the thing that's always put me off is the fact that PC's aren't exactly gaming companies major interest. Like with Rockstar, all the PC releases come wayyyy after consoles. And now PC release for GTA V is RUMOURED to be out by March 2015. So a whole year and 6 months after consoles.
Can make up a low end gaming computer capable of playing most PC games at high quality. For £600 ish. But yours looks more on the high end.
EDIT:
Maybe adding a gaming section to this forum could benefit in a few areas?

I have idea cal dtr 125 pc perspects case cut and built where the engine should be using the rad and 2t bottle for the coolers ignition as power on switch full bike sat in corner with a pc built in to it .
Spent £1500 in total. I needed a decent computer for work/uni. That's the beauty of a gaming computer is that it's high enough spec to meet all my needs. Be it HD video editing, Graphics design, Programming, Gaming and of course watching porn ;)
Aye but Boxing I think you're misinterpreting gaming companies. They spend more time making them for PC than they do for consoles. Just look at GTA IV. That game is so much better on PC than Console. And San Andreas. And every other GTA game. They won't not release it. It's too much money to lose out on. They just know that PC gamers is where it's at and they like to make sure it's better before they release it.
I've had it for a few months now. And I bought it bit by bit over a few months so the cost hasn't really hit me.
I've spent most my time playing battlefield. Thing is most of my mates moved to gaming computers over the last couple of years and left consoles. So I've only just caught up. And it's nice to play Battlefield with them again.
What I do love about the PC gaming world is how cheap the games are compared to console. I got Batman Arkham Asylum for £1.99 on Steam. Counter Strike:GO fo £4.99 and battlefiled 4 for £15. It's nice to pay reasonable prices.
Cal do you have steam ? If not I suggest you get it and I play arma 2, arma 3,dayz mod, dayz stand alone, eve online, there's lots of great games out there

Haha, last time I played cs go I got booted for being to much of a noob haha! That's one tough game. The people who play it are really keen! I'm much better at battlefield lol.
I've literally just built my water cooled rig up from bits that I had brought ages ago and never got round to putting together Cal! How funny that you've just built a rig too. Mind you, mine didn't cost 1500 quid, at most mine was about 700 all in including case, water cooling, PSU, ram, cpu, graphics etc.
I've gone for a MINI-ITX set-up also, for abit more space on my desk lol! :D
Ahah nice mate. Yeah I've got a platinum PSU in there as well. All my parts are pretty high end. I bought it over a couple of months and it's been running for a few as well. The cost was basically spread out.
A few little updates to this. I've stopped building it now, but I have added the odd bit here and there.
The first was a new 2 Terabyte Hybrid HDD. So it was part SSD part Spinning disc. That's mainly for movies.
Then I bought a Pioneer Blu Ray Drive
Then a nice Mouse
And finally a very swish Republic of Gaming CPU monitor. Just to complete the ASUS/ROG Gaming rig. You can turn the screen off very easily and you can charge phones via the USB slot, amongst a variety of other stuff, like change EQ presets.
