Try Yambits on Ebay, I reckon cheaper still, paid about £25 for mine, cant see yours being much dearer. In fact to make things cheaper, have you tried second hand? Deeteemx may have one. Btw, I'll try and swap my tank over tomorrow, I'll take a pic of it if I do.
Just a little update, nothing much done apart from getting kickstart shaft from 1990dtr, rear mudguard and light from azbo, new fuel tank in blue from eBay at a bargain price and also a full Big one exhaust only 6 months old!!!
Just need to sell my old exhaust an a few other bits to fund the rest of the build including the sale of my laptop!!!!
Havent had much time to do alot to the bike as ive been working etc..
after trying to remove all the screws from the casings using WD40, Screwdrivers and an impact driver, i had to result to a Drill!!!
All the screws are out of the casings now and new allen bolts are on order!!
just have to wait till payday for some more spending!!
Ive also been in contact with a 2 stroke engineering legend for mods etc so will keep you all updated as and when i know anyting!! (few things up my sleeve!!)
As you can see from the pic of the crank, i may renew this so i've got a complete new engine apart from the cases, it's looking old and theres a few very small nicks out of it but it looks like an original bottom end and has never been opened up!!
The Next job is to replace all the internals which will be ordered over the next week or so, and then hopefully refit it all once my other bits turn up from here!!!!
Nice one Coastie, it's come up a treat in that parafin bath and wire wool mate, you'll know about banging the bearings in the freezer, and the casing in the warm oven for 15 or so mins? so as to make it easier getting the bearings in on the rebuild back up.
Yep know that but my other half not to keen on the oil smell in the oven, I've got a blow lamp..
Does anyone know where I can get a fairly cheapish crank but new?? I know it's gonna cost me around £120 extra but then it's had a completely new internals!!!
On another note, my rear mudguard and light turned up from azbo today aswell!!!! All I need to arrive now is the kickstart shaft and my wages at the end of the month then it's onwards and upwards I hope!!!!
just a little update for anyone following this thread, knackered a bolt on the barrel tonight trying to remove the powervalve cover, jsut been chatting on ebay to a member and he has another one spare that i can have for £40 so not to bad!!
ive jumped in and ordered a new crankshaft so i will now have completely new internals!!
so barrel and crankshaft on way, then fingers crossed the rest of the internals should be ordered payday!!!!
heres a pic on how the casing came up in the parrafin bath, i will be soaking it again before i put them back together
ive managed to get the complete internals for £193 including postage and rebore which i didnt think was bad but then ive had to add £120 on top for the new Crankshaft
£193 rebore and internals £120 Crankshaft £150 Fuel Tank and Exhaust system £130 sandblasting and powdercoating £40 Recon Barrel
My other half is going to go mental if she ever read this!!!!!!

Well if the missus does find out and is umming and arring about parts cost Coastie, show her the AJ Sutton website mate, complete new tanks are £604.00 on there.
Right.... Just a little update as been quiet on this project!!!!
I've taken the frame and bits to the blasters today, was going to take swing arm aswell but knackered the bearings etc so have spoken to a good member on here who's sorting me out with that... Oh and the kickstart shaft etc after I was stitched by 1990dtr!!!
The engine will be put back together next weekend hopefully!!!
I've just ordered 4 x indicators for it!!
The frame and bits will be back from the powdercoaters within 2 weeks so it's looking like it will still be on track!!!!!
Will update more as and when I'm not working etc..
right guys & girls... not much happened for a while due to cash flow and waiting on parts but heres a little update...
All new bearings and seals in...
I have spent this evening putting the crank cases back together so all theres left is left and right covers, work out the gear shift selector shaft and that blimmin arm thingy next to it, then hopefully onwards and upwards again..
im just waiting on a delivery of my last few parts and I still need to order a graphics set(In talks)...
The frame has been left at the powdercoaters so i do not daage it but will hopefully be picking it up on monday!!
More pics will be addeed over the next few days - I promise!!
Only two weeks till BMAD festival May 4th weekend, looks like you'll be sorted for then mate, oh aye, just noticed your clutch basket has those grooves on the "fingers" if you file them down, it'll help the plates move more smoothly inside them. Coming along nicely.
Might pop over this weekend if your in, missus wants to go coat shopping, and convinced her to go Beer and Sidmouth tomorrow, could sort out clutch mate no probs,
