The main bearings. It was totally by accident - didn't mean to leave them in the freezer so long!

Just had another look through this build! Fantastic work slinky! It really is looking great, you've done a fine job restoring it! Are you gunna sumo it or leave as a green-laner?

The clip was all rusty and bent when I took it out and one side never had the clip. Good to see you are back doing the bike. Looking at the project you aren't to far from the finish. Might get a pic of the bikes side by side soon!

Aye, I,ll get some new clips. Need to figure out how to get the sm wheels to fit the yz usds. Think someone on here has done it. Lost a ball bearing in the engine so need to strip it and rebuild a bit - I knew there was a reason I bought two gasket sets....

These arrived this morning - changes my plans but at £100 I couldn't say no.  Everything seems ok with them, just need a good clean up.  Will probably get the rims a fresh powdercoat and another set of the orange stickers to go on them.  Will need to get the front hub oranged up too.

Oh and this is how the forks will look once i've sorted the seals and everything out.

Had some cheap chinese sm wheels but was shamed into not using them so was going to keep the standard mx wheels on it but always wanted some decent sm wheels so here we go. Did you have work done on the hub or spindle to get yours to fit the USDs?

Cheers. Hopefully will have pics and a better update soon. Forks are almost rebuilt just waiting for some more fork oil to arrive. Wheels are with our bike mechanic at work having the tyres removed then the rims, spokes, front hub and caliper are getting powdercoated. Gonna try and get work done on the engine soon too. Getting there....

Progress at last.  Had a day of rest, working on the DT.  Engine is now rebuilt.

Forks will be next, then hopefully some real progress bringing it all together.

About time for a bit of an update.  Before it get's turned into a nursery I've taken over the back bedroom as a workshop for the DT to try and get it finished.

Progress since the last update - engine mounted, exhaust rebuilt and fitted, forks, bars and headlight fitted, rear swingarm rebuilt and fitted.

Next jobs - get the engine going, wiring loom, brakes and then wheels and a few bits powdercoated to finish.  Hopefully not long to go.

That looks gorgeous mate.

Word of advice though. Is that a big one exhaust. Best off binning that one and pay the extra for a dep. Those bigones are useless.

Other than that they look really sweet.
