Got to give props to you, not an easy task by far. Although if I was going to put that much effort in I would have to make it something that was impressive in an insane power kind of way. Like said I think DT's are reliable enough anyway but would love to see it finished would be so weird seeing a dt but hearing a 4 stroke sound haha
Love the sumo rims absolutely sexy as hell, + the swing arm too
Cheers guys. Im still thinking what the best route to take is with the swing arm linkage. Ive got the standard knuckle now. I want to keep the same geometry as the wr if possible so im thinking of lifting the top shock pivot point and shortening the lower part of the shock that attaches to the knuckle. Then custom dog bones to set the height.
Have you got all the WR swingarm sorted and in now? If so mind getting some photos and if the offer of making up some more spacers for the swingarm is going then I'll take some. Got a wr450 swinger on its way to me :D
Ive just brought the WR swingarm from ebay, £30 quid all in. From a 450, not sure about bearings and **** so I'll check when it comes. I'm a little excited to beef up the rear abit :D hows things going with this dude?
NathanH, how much to knock me up the same set of spacers? As I've got the same swingarm and I'm having trouble getting my engineer to make anything up as he's pretty busy at the moment.
thats a bad ass conversion, and that swinger is the nuts!
Loving the engineering to get it to fit. As nev said though put a good V root into it if your tigging it. Is it alloy? id be sure to check for fractures/cracks as tig welding on alloy cast can be hit or miss sometimes.
I know lol. Its just been cut for now to check the length. Cheers for the comments, ive still got so far to go but its little mock ups every so often that spur me on. Rear tyres a 160 :)
