weird gearing ??

so in first gear when i set off at 8000 rpm it sunds like its straining and theres loss of power like it needs more air or something but 2 3 4 5 6 are all perfect

 

any ideas on whats causing this ???

 

or is 1st gear just a very short gear on DTRs only ever had a DTX

First gear on the DT's is VERY short, i'm hardly ever in 1st gear at all. 2nd gear on the DT SHOULD be 1st gear, if you catch my drift. smile

could be the sprockets, for example bigger sprocket means more top end but you lose acceleration, may be running diferent sprockets to your old dtx

nah not at all its absolutly rapid at setting off lifts up like mad but as it lifts up power goes flat but if i switch to second bam full power again then fine all way up the gears
