So I gutted my pipe today, but I'd like to know how your guys' pipe perform. Becouse I removed the big fat catalysator but I also saw there was a small piece of perforated sheet attatched around the walls inside, a bit deeper in, which I didn't remove ( was this a restriction? ). My top speed is like 130km/h (=80mph), but I still need to use the clutch to do wheelies, and it's the original sprockets. I still need to start in 1st gear using the clutch to get the front wheel up in the air when I'm sitting down. Is it the same for you guys?

Also forgot to mention that it only pulls well in the 6th gear if I dont have a passenger and its a little bit of downhill or I dont have the wind against me
If it's doing 80 sounds ok to me tbh. And I bet the reason why you can't get the front end up very easily is because of how you're doing it. It will come up in second and third if you know how, it's not like a big bike like my husky would come up of the throttle without me even having to move my weight lol.
I can lift the front wheel with a little help from the clutch in second, and sometimes in third if I wrench the handlebars hard enough. I can get a GPS proven 91 so far.. and I've got a gutted standard, stubb'd standard end can :)
Hahaha, Youve done 91 mph with the gutted pipe ?.No other mods to the bike ?. And thats in a straight line ? No downhill or anything ?.
I could proboably do a bout 90 mph too with my gianelli when my bike had the standard barrel, But only if i had the wind with me xD Or else i would be at 85 mph on a quiet day ^^
For me too the gutted pipe didnt work out well, very bad top rpm performance. but that was with the 170cc.. proboably is a bit different with the standard barrel.
I've got the standard gutted pipe. I didn't notice any difference in power at all to be fair. Just sound tinnier. I got 85 indicated out of it the day I bought it and I get 85 indicated now.
Does it always pull well in the 6th gear for you guys? becouse I can get about 70-75mph in the 5th gear with less throttle than what's needed for the same speed in the 6th gear. I need to go and see again if it rly is original sprockets...
edit: yup, original sprockets

I've got an app called Dashboard on my iPhone that uses the GPS positioning on your phone and displays altitute, speed, direction and compass ****.. it said 91 at some point and I was going down the Red Road in camberley which is fairly long and at a slight decline so it wasn't a flat even straight road tbh. but still, it was revving the life out of the bike and **** though lol.
I've got mods, Gutted standard, snorkel removed, and whatever else was done before I got the bike. Barron can vouch for how fast it is! Hahaha
Okay so with a little bit of exercise I can now get it up in the 1st gear without the clutch and in the 2nd with the clutch, but it's quite heavy since you need to pull quite hard :P. This is when sitting, if I stand up I believe I could get it up in the 3rd, maybe even 4th gear aswell, but I don't like to wheelie when standing since you don't have a brake :D
Anyways I also thought I'd buy a new silencer. A friend told me it could make a small difference since the original silencer dampens the sound so much, it could be so fully stuffed with **** that it also could be reducing the performance a bit. But also for nicer sound, I mean, it sounds like a freakin sewing machine when it's idling.

ye I know about the GPS speedometer apps, thought I'd try one out someday

Forgot to mention that the thing going into the airbox is only blocked of where the hose enters the airbox, not where it comes out of the exhaust. This makes it work like an appendix, or a dead end for the exhaust flow. I haven't blocked it of at the exhaust yet, but I will, but no idea if it will make any difference.
And also, I didn't remove the weird perforated sheet that was attached around the walls a bit deeper in, since it didn't look like a restrictor pic can be found in this post, the middle picture http://dt125r.activeboard.com/t29940480/cut-open-my-exhaust-and-found-thiswtf/ anyone knows anything about this thing?
