That would be great mate cheers. When I pick it up I can give you the spoke keys back. I am free most of the time so just give me a text when you are wanting it picked up.
Got the wheels balanced and my rim stickers on, very pleased with them, just took my time and used a good solvent to clean any grease away.
Got the rear wheel half on. The swing arm was a bit bent shut from aprevious impact on one side where it holds the axle, so I had to spend a bit of time with the hammer.
Waiting on a tap to for the thread on my front fork where my spindle threads in as it wont go in, but it goes in fine from the other side so hopefully the tap will do the job, really want the bike on its wheels now as my stand is buckled under the weight.
Really liking the white stickers. My plastics are in spain at the moment being professionally sprayed by a good mate, so they should finish of the bike nicely.
Don't think it is mate, even though I got it at the bike shop, been asked that question a few times. Had it on for two years now. couldnt stand putting a bigger one on lol.
Sat On the bike for the first time today. The rear suspension feels great compared to how it was before.
Around £50 these set me back in the end. Ordered the USD ones by mistake.sent them Back with an fiver for the conventionals and return p&p the post office lost them or stole them lol and I lost the receipt, oh well they are worth it love them with the bright white writing.
Got my Chain and sprocket set. It said it was a Renthal but it's not. Dont care as long as its totally black.
Put this on, as it's the only thing thats original from when I first bought the the bike. Goes well with the colours though so it staying on.
Its great having a bike again rather than a pile of parts!
Thanks for the good feed back! what a job it's been but I have enjoyed doing it and I cant wait to be able to ride about in the summer. It might just be 125 but I will get just as much pleasure out of it as someone does with brand new R1. Not many people have the pleasure of getting around on a bike they built themselves from the ground up.
Here here! good on ya!

Got my brake lines on tonight. Going to try and get some tubing tomorrow so I can bleed them.
To my dismay I cant get the Banjo bolt in without taking the wheel and calliper of again. A job I really dont want to do again!
Ha Ha cheers. The cost of this build alone is the same as what my mates pay a year on their R1 and R6 for third party insurance a year lol. It's a thing many people over look about a DT ect they actually cost nothing to run if you can do the work yourself.
This bike will be used for my commute to work which I previosly was using it for. I live on the edge of the city and you Cant beat it in the city centre. Soaks up the pot holes and overly brutal speed bumps Edinburgh has to offer. Not the greatest on fuel when you go around with the right hand pinned back as we all know lol. Hoping my MPG will be alot better after the build with the better compression and fresh bearings ect.
Yeah they mus be out then. I did feel I was streching an extra wee bit. Guess that's what happens when you bolt them on top of a tool box and not sitting how you would be on the road lol.
Ordered a brand new Dep full system for it, can't wait to take that out of the box.
Cheers again for the good comments guys. It's just the same caliper as what came off the bike which was handy. Got the front break bled with the oxford bleeding tool I bought. Bit pricey at £13 but done the job. Could make one for peanuts lol. All it is is a tube with a valve in the middle that doesn't let the air go back up. I will post a pic up if anyone is interested.
hang on just noticed what's up with the bars man, bit steep dont you think? Proper Baja but surely too high? And the old clocks and indys are just a mock fit joke right? Where are the pics of the Vapour etc?
For £95 I'd be surprised if it did. I paid £140 for everything.
You don't have to get it straight away. You can wait until you save some more up. Well worth having the dash board though!

Just ordered a vapour stealth lol! I hope one of callums brackets will fit the DT X. Looking forward to the new features I will have. It will be nice to have the bike on 0 miles aswell. I am in the middle of buying a house at the moment but life is short lol!
Yeah. You made sure you bought the liquid cooled version of the vapour right?
Also mate you'd really want the dashboard as well! I know it's a paid but it'll be exactly like the re clocks then. You have 6 wires for the indicators, high beam, neutral and oil light. That dashboard is pretty essential! Also I had a bit of confusion wiring mine up. When I did it I kept all the original plugs. I chopped the plugs off the old clocks and soldered them to the vapor.
Mate by the way at looking at how your bike is at the moment that vapor is just going to absolutely smash the styling of it! If you do what I did and put the clock behind the headlight then it's going to look off the chain!
