Deffo mate. I have messaged them asking if they do the dash I am sure they do. I just need to get my engine stuff from pjme and all the expensive stuff is done at last before I have to furnish my new shell of a house lol!
Does anyone know if pjme will do a deal with me seeing that I am going to buy all the kit off them and sending my heads for rebore and skim and my crank re built? It would be nice to get a round number of them seeing it will be a few quid.
You'd have to message them. If you're going to be dropping some £££ then I'm sure any company would if you said. Definately do some sort of postage deal! But I'd ask them.
Made My self a work bench out my poker table for the rebuild .
Let surgery commence!
Nice and clean inside.
She aint the nicest looking tool but she done the job.
Using cable ties to keep my stuff in the right order.
The nut on the end of the crank is unbeleivable tight couldnt get it to move
This was on so tight the noise it made when it let go was worrying lol!
Where can I get a tool to shift these buggers off. I know the world is a bad place but isn't this a step to far. Are reed valve thefts a common problem in Japan?
Got the text for the Dep getting delivered tomorrow, cant wait to see what it looks like. My Vapour turned up today, really impressed with it. Doesnt look to hard to install. Will I need one of your brackets callum so it fits behind the headlight. I will get pics of the bling up tomorrow lol.
Bit of an update. The Dep arrived cant beleive how light it is. The finished bike should be a lot lighter with all the un needed junk taken off it. The old standard exspansion ways a ton. Losing the old clocks and the 2 stroke oil system should all add up nicely.
Waiting on the dash coming because they have ran out of stock looking forward to installing it all.
The engine rebuild is going well apart from a few small problems.
Going to have to think of a way of getting this blind bearing out for the balancer shaft . I tried heating the housing and tapping the casing downward but no luck.
Need to get the clutch bearing out some how.
These cross head screws are really starting to get annoying now. Wouldnt move with a screwdriver but there isnt enough room to get an impact in. I tried to and it just sheared. Going to throw all of them away! Will have to try a stud extractor. Think that was the last one of the entire project ha ha! so typical.
Loads of smashed up alluminium behind the main bearings. The main bearings them selves are totally screwed.
This is how things stand at the moment. The starter motor is getting drilled off the casing tomorrow at work cause the threads are knackered. Hopefully have the cases ready for powdercoating soon.

that dep looks like its already had a slight chop??? u got an old one to compare it to??
i bet u jizzed ur pants wen it turned up tho eh! sh1t i nearly did jus seein a pic of it still in the bag! lol!!
have you tryed mole grips on that last bolt? molegrips got me out the **** loads of times, get em on proper feckin tight, and push on to it as u clamp the grips up to stop them slipping off, all u need to to crack it off the tinyest bit n it will come out, also get ur normal screw dirver on it aswell if its got a through handle metal shaft, give it a clout, dont be shy with it lol, i normaly do trhat to them sort of bolts before i even attempt to take them out, gives em a gd shock and normal dont mash up, < try this before u go at it with the mole grips will defo help m8y

Yeah mate. Sits really nice behind it. Although it will oscillate slightly at high speeds. I never found it a problem but for £7.50 inc p&p you can see how it goes. I loved it and I'm getting a new one made up for my new yokes!
Cheers mate. Deffo was a good moment ripping that packaging off to see the shiny pipe lol. A rare site to behold a brand new dep pipe. For the price they go second hand all screwed up it made perfect sense to me to pay the extra for a brand new one. Haven't even given in to the temptation of fitting it yet cause I don't want it getting bashed or scratched while I am still working. Might have to have a sneak peak though and put some pics up.
Going to try your method tonight. I only had my big mole grips so couldn't get in. Got a smaller pair now.
How do you suggest getting the blind bearing out and the clutch one. I am tempted to get the engineering firm to remove the last of the hard bearings and install the new ones I will provide when they do my re bore and crank. Not going through pjme anymore can't be arsed with all the posting hassle. I am replacing all the bearings cause even some of the small ones are badly worn which I think is quite rare.
ok kl. it looks to me that theres a hole in the case wer that baring is located sure u cant tap it out from the other side?, and i wouldnt of thought its in there to tight as that plate thts bolted over the top of it looks like thats the only thing holding the baring in, i reckon thts just a push fit baring not an interferance job.
I know the bolts you are meaning cal been using them on the entire build engine is going to be the same. All stainless steel Allen heads.
Once the retaining plate comes off it should knock through easy enough. It's the blind one that is my big problem cause I think it can only be pulled out. I have been reading that if you put the casing in the oven it will drop out but I am skeptical if that will work.
Got the starter motor of the case without any damage. Just a bolt in the starter motor has snapped off flush. Might be able to drill it out and tap it.
This thing is the meaning of seized lol. I had a really good grip of the stub with mole grips after I shaved each side and I thought it was turning but it was just it snapping lol. I had it going with my impact driver and it just collapsed down the hole that's when I had to cut the head off.
If thats the case I will give it a crack. Norfes guide on here is amazing for people wanting to do it themselves. I will have to give it a good clean in parafin first though or I will be a dead man lol!
I know mate dont want burning plastic to addd to the aroma of burning filthy chain grease. I am trying to prep them for powdercoating anyway. Don't know if anyone has done inner cases before. Think it will be a nice touch seeing that nearly every feasable part of the bike has been powdercoated already.
Got my engine stuff to the powdercoaters this morning. Risky getting the inner cranks done but the boy is good and I have every faith in him lol. Thats basically every feasable part of the bike powdercoated lol! Lucky I get good rates or I would be broke.
The cylynder head is going to be red along with the powervalve covers. And the cylinder and cranks will be Matt black matching my outer halves.
Started on my vapour install. If you are thinking of buying one of these, I highly recommend you get a bracket of Callum. The mountings that are provided are terrible. With the bracket Callum makes, they will be sitting just where you want them as you will see in the pics.
Bracket in question.
Sitting perfectly. The speddo sensor is going to be tough because my calliper bracket is tiny. Got the indicators on the dash working and the temp scensor in the cooling system sorted out. Will have to buy a fuse for the power install tomorrow.
Thanks nath appreciated. Looking forward to seeing your bike finished. The frame and swinger is amazing as you know. At first I thought you were crazy going for the 4t but seeing the work you have done the bike will truly be one of a kind I can also see where your coming on the mpg. The bill on this bike is mounting a fair bit when you add it all up. But there comes a point when you decide to go all out! Just hope I get the engine built back up nicely.
Got the Vapour all installed. Not the toughest of jobs, does take a bit of fiddiling about. Had a lot of headscratching before callum reminded me of chopping the old plug of my clocks and soldering the vapour on to it.
I was going to try and get it to have left and right indicators to come on each side of the dash by tapping the wires directly into the indicators. Don't know if it would work but maybe worth a try one day as I have a blanked out light as I don't require a 2 stroke warning light.
This was when I just linked up the wires by hand, I also went and got a fuse holder and fuse to be on the safe side that vapour do not provide.
Plumbed into the hoses.
Marking the hole for the sensor. I had to cut some of the plastic off so it would fit.
Just secured with a self tapping screw.
Need to tidy all this up when I get some small cable ties.
Got it so that it lights up when I turn the key. I am actually drawing the power from the wires for the back light of the stock clocks, so no need to go running wires to the battery like trailtech recommend making the install alot more simple.
Just need to glue the magnet to the disc. I will measure the wheel before I do this and lift the front wheel up for a test run before I go glueing stuff! Only yhing I missed out was the RPM sensor but that is simply earthing the wire at the coil earth and wrapping whe red wire around the bottom of the HT lead 5 times.
same here gadge but it looks soo good coated , i bet itll last a lot longer and u know it will take a beating from grit n gravel up off the road alot better, nice work slob looking awesome dude!
edit..
hmm jus wondered how well it will cope around the exh mani tho..?

Been working on my engine some more and I aint going to lie I am started to get excited that I may be able to ride this thing.
Most of my time has been spent cleaning up the mating surfaces of the engine. I have been doing this with 800 grit and some nice big slabs of glass and WD40 aswell as smaller bits for more intacate work.
Really pleased with the powdercoat on the engine, bit risky I thought, but I want to pull it off, The guys have done a top job. Once it is put back together it should be seamless. I wanted the engine to be as custom as the bike. I feel I have got rid of most of the junk such as the carb warming pipes un needed wires ect cause I really want a shaved look around the block.
The cylynder and crank are off at PJME for rebore and balancing.
Â
Â
Still going to refine this with 1500 grit.

My whole Saturday afternoon was spent whilst ****ting myself working this seized dowel out. Some idiot had over tightened it so much it had burried its self into the soft aluminium with fused onto the threads. Had to file two flat edges and get my big mole grips on it. Reckon I spent 3 hours getting it out bit by bit , walking away from it when anger started coming on lol at one point it must have been coming out a mm every 20 mins lol. Never been so releived to get a bolt out when it eventually started turning. If that jammed or snapped I would have broke down in tears lol.Â
All that got me through was patience and plenty of lube
