if piston had 100 stamped on it that means its been over bored to 1.00mm so really need to clarify what piston youve put back in this and what you had it bored to ,not having the yeis bottle on or sealing with electrical tape will allow un metred air into it causing an air leak that leak will be sufficient enough to cause all the problems your having with that bike!,and un mixed air that gets past the inlet will cause problems .
some cause high rpm the most severe will stop it starting all together .
this jet is the correct one for you to be using : http://www.yamahamotorcyclespares.co.uk/spares/partImage.asp?GPN=Z68%3C696989%3DF6&uid=0 this is the yeis bottle you should be using :http://www.yamahamotorcyclespares.co.uk/spares/partImage.asp?GPN=Z8JY68%3A%3D65555&uid=0 this is the head gasket you SHOULD use :http://www.yamahamotorcyclespares.co.uk/spares/partImage.asp?GPN=Z8GS666%3D65755&uid=0 this is the base gasket you SHOULD use :http://www.yamahamotorcyclespares.co.uk/spares/partImage.asp?GPN=Z9KZ668%3A65555&uid=0
240 main jet is a safe in the middle jet you should have no problems with it ,as a process of elimination if you have had her bored correctly etc etc and it STILL wont run correctly then its because you havent replaced this yeis bottle ,also upon looking at your inlet somone has reduced the hole size in there with a piece of rubber tube you need to take that out and also make sure you have the little pipe going into the side of it thats your 2 stroke pipe.
this is the correct oil for you to run in on :http://yambits.co.uk/castrol-act-evo-two-stroke-engine-oil-p-8742.html?osCsid=uhni6fre7pv133rcspi20fdrv2
the reason you run in on this oil is to help bed the rings and get everything seated properly.
i speak from experience and have paid the price time and time again do the above and youl have a sweet little bike .dnt do it and youl have a ****ing nightmare .
Very good still. But i'm more worried about the unfiltered air damaging the engine.
cheers callumage :), it will do eventually ,one day he will strt it up say in the garage where air is a little more restricted .it will rev up and die at that point he will again have to rebore etc .etc i will never ever ever skimp on anything to do with intake or anywhere where 2 mating surfaces meet its a big no no .
This is a right pain in the backside. Will get oil and jet.
Been running it on synthetic, like my dad said listening to that bloke in the shop. :/
I guess it's fucked then.
Will check the condition of the piston soon. And waiting for the YEIS.
good mate make sure you get all of the above i know its dear but you will think "why didnt i do this in the 1st place" if your taking the cylinder off you will have to replace the base gasket to go genuine you wont regret it ,
can you clarify what piston size you have now and what the bore size is now ?
if it deoesnt improve i would next lay bets on either spark plug, air filter, rust in tank if it doesnt improve then next id have the pv locked open unoperational by servo .if all of that doesnt make a difference chances are your cdi is playing up
it wont be damaged by using normal 2 stroke oil, should also turn the oil pump up a little bit if you havent done just to be sure its getting enough oil, its important to warm it up thoroughly after a recent rebuild as the engine will be within the close tolerances, after going through many top ends i now wait until i feel some warmth through the clutch case before i go ragging it lol
I put the choke on, blip the throttle start it, flick the choke off and leave it running with no rev. I take a good 10 minutes to get ready, then pull off and change gear a 3K RPMs.
I did three heat cycles of letting it tick over and warm up, then off and let it get cold, then another heat cycle.
And then I did it again before going for petrol. It's all good now, just awaiting parts.
dont run it and do make sure you get the mineral oil although by the looks of things theres not much point though, charlie the fully synth wont damage it but it doesnt help the rings bed .
right ive spoken to the guy and the bloke he bought it from had it stage 3 tuned by a guy called stan stephens ,the engine was from a tzr track bike and was then put in this .
not happy
Hence the importance to check the engine and frame numbers against the logbook.
I'd suggest just buying a new lump and putting it in. Won't be worth all the pistons it blows.
Anyway, these are the screws I'm dealing with on my bike, all over the place!
I shit you not, these were holding the fuel bowl on to my carb.
Some right tit has had this bike.
Anyway, it was actually running on a #240 main jet, so it's probably the YEIS, or the PV.
New screws on the carb:
Just need two new ones to hold the throttle as the heads were gone on them too.
Been getting these screws out with a chissle and hammer, the clean shiny parts are where we've whacked them to get them out.
I have tons of screws I've accumulated from Mini Motos and other project bikes, so will have new screws for the throttle cable as well.

Exhaust is pissing oil out at the silencer part. The rubber clip wasn't on properly.
Anyway, got the carb off!
ALL the screws have the heads smashed up, and way too tight. Some right retards been messing around with this bike. Going to get around to stripping the carb down and looking what jet size its running at currently.
I've had my bike absolutely thrashed out of the box. Stolen. Ran with no oil. Ramped by me. And its never missed a beat. Still on original bore. Bike is as sound as a pound.
I know my bike was thrashed by the previous owner because he told me lol. He was very honest and I appreciated it. But like said i've had head gasket go. Warped head. Over heating.
Sorted it out and it is still sound.
Very good bike well impressed with its robustness.
thats what i mean i was with logikz at the time in london went off the clocks ,then tested it with mates car his car read 98 (seat cupra r ) so dont know what more to say i dont know if someones ****ded around with hence all the problems
