did you clean the gasket surfaces, or use any sort of gasket sealant? there should also be washers on those nuts, strange for it to be leaking from there, how tight did you do the bolts? check them again, just do them FT lol

did you fit the gasket the correct way up? cant work out how the coolant could get to the head stud unless its extremely warped ?

head gasket is ****ed if its bubbling out when your turning it over by hand thats the compression pushing it out, so its leaking from the water jacket into the bore and out through the studs. ripping them up tight aint gonna do **** all thts a proper bodge dont do tht. somthing is defo not right with the head and or gasket and or barrel on the top surface. the gasket will seal the coolant in around the studs and obviously into the bore, its leaking through both seals. take head off carefully and take good high res pics if u can and post em up we wanna see under side of head both sides of gasket and top of barrel. then we'll go from there

This might sound daft but have you put the proper dome nuts on the head as it will leak out of normal nuts ? Mind you it sounds like its not sealing properly if its burning water out of the exhaust. You need to make sure the mating surfaces are totally clean and shiney the head and the barrel. Its no good thinking ah thats clean enough it needs to be mint no little bits of crap anywhere. Anyway take it back off and do it all again. If you aint got a torque wrench to tighten everything down tighten the head nuts in sequence till they just feel tight then go round them again and give them all a little nip but dont tighten the f**k out of them.

soz trip dude i wasnt implying that ur sayin to bodge it soz dude i know it sounded that way lol , but if one stud was loose im sure the others will hold the head down tight enough to squash up the seal around the stud in the gasket,

when the bikes running aswell a classic sign of gasket failure is that pressure builds up in the cooling system and it trys to spit it all out the expansion bottle breather, and somthimes even a bit of smoke in the bottle lol mine did it pretty bad

If he,s pulled a stud it will defo leak Brad but it would only drip not piss out like hes saying, it woud piss out when its running. I recon he just aint cleaned the mating surfaces properly since this is the first time he has ever done anything like this.

haha no worries m8 i am quite good at the odd bodge it tho ,till i can get whatever it is sorted out properly anyway

I did rip a stud on an old barrel overtightening once wasnt a drastic leak but serious enough dripped always standing an poured out riding needed to be refiled after 5 miles.carry a bottle occasion well i waited on a gasket in the post, so id done everything right putting it back together got yet another gasket couldnt work out why it leaked until i put a non domed nut on where it was leaking an without to much pressure the stud pulled right out tightening the standard nut up so mine was just real weak from previous owners mullering it, so needed sorted anyway it was all found by mistake ,,but learn from your mistake tho hey. bought a helicoil set an got it up an running again in no time.

it was leaking and blowing very badly, i suspeect it was just the dirt on the head creating a gap for it to leak, the gasket surfaces have to be spotless, use a stanley blade or credit card to remove the dirt easily

Be very careful with that Stanley blade it is very easy to cut a gruve in to the head or barrel I prefer to use emery paper gently but yes cleanliness is next to Godliness my old Dad used to say ,
