ai ****ed my bike up by using an old circlip on the piston,anyway its now got deep score marks and was wondering of im going to get away with a 1.50 or even less i dont really wanna take it to 2 mm as thats when they start to go wrong im told cheers

as above how do i go about measuring the end gap on my piston rings on a 1 mm overbore? the haynes specifications state 00.35mm -00.45 but this will be different on an oversize piston surely thanks alot

as above i just got a new piston and it seems stupidly tight all the sizes are the same and its the same piston ,also 1 ring was thicker than the other the thicker ring would only fit the bottom i have put the piston in the cylinder in the hope that it sat in there for a few hours will aid re fitting it

Just received my new Mitaka piston and rings. It looks like one of the rings is wider than the other?? if this is the case then i assume it is the bottom one?. Also where does the thin metl strip go? obviously behind one of the rings but not sure why.

	got to have another rebore its at 1.00 now but the scor marks are quite deep is it possible to go to 1.5 ?
