Bought this off ebay, someone has done a right job xD Its 56.4mm(i think) 3mb00 y-1 barrel Is it ok to just rebore and slap on mine? Nikasil plated standard barrel ?

Ok im just having a little argument on another forum. Is the standard barrels nikasil plated ? Cause everyone is saying you cant rebore a DT125 cyllinder becuase its nikasil plated. But on this forum everyone is reboring their barrels, And i rebored my dt barrel plenty of times !

4DL cylinder

Right, found a 4dl cylinder with a 3mb head (mine's the 3bn with the weird squish). So that should bolt straight on right? Also anyone konw what piston would I need, all I could find on PJME was a flat top for a 4FU but does the 4DL run a domed piston normally, especially with the 3MB head? Cheers

As title says whata the difference between standard 3mb/3bn top end an 4fu nikosill is there much difference in performance? Got chance of a cheap 4fu top end in decent condition but as far as i believe nikkosill barrells cant be rebored have to be resleaved which is expensive compared to £30 for a rebo...

How much do you recon it would cost to get a barrell replated and rebored from pjme? thinking about getting a barrell second hand payin for it to get done whilst i use the current barrel for getting out and about, then getting a brand new pistion so i have a fresh top end

Getting the second engine ready for a re bore but have a single stud i cannot shift!, tried two nuts together on the stud with a good dose of wd40 (my normal method) and they are actually starting to strip it!.
