i was just wondering if a pre 04 model cdi would fit a 04 onwords and would i get a power increase as at the minute theres no powerband and it feels electronic restricted.

ok i want to know what the deal is with the cdi's! my bike is an 05 dt125x, know all the later bikes are strangled but is the cdi definately restricting the power? if so is there a replacement such as an older dt/ tzr or maybe yz cdi? ive seen people talking about deristricing th cdi unit..................

ive tried all things,and my 1998 wont go past 65 topps, its got the power and i can get to 60 before hitting top gear, but it just wont go past 65 or rev out on that top gear so it must be the cdi ?? i spoke to a bloke in a shop today,and he said it must be a cdi issue, and he can get me what one i need, but i have to tell hi...

Hi, I´m from Portugal and I got a 1996 DT125R... Do you know which CDI can I use to change the powerband and the rev limit of the dtr,but keeping the powervalve working? and does anyone tried to use another stator with a lighter flywheel? ;)
